Nick Saban Takes Firm Stance on Deion Sanders and Colorado After Previous Mistake

As seen during his legendary 17-year coaching career at Alabama, Nick Saban rarely made mistakes, and he certainly never made them twice.

While the seven-time champion is no longer roaming the sidelines and screaming at officials despite being up by 30 points, he is still working on mastering his new craft. He has quickly emerged as a rising star on ESPN's "College GameDay" and, to the surprise of many, has quite the sense of humor regarding his mistakes.

Something that he gave fans a glimpse of when the crew was making their picks for Saturday's Week 7 slate. When it came to the matchup between the No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats (4-1) and Colorado Buffaloes (4-1), Saban revealed that he was going with Deion Sanders' Colorado squad. He also joked that he wouldn't be picking against Colorado the rest of the season after he chose the UCF Knights to beat them a couple of weeks back before the Buffs won by 27.

"I like Colorado as well," Saban said after Desmond Howard picked the Buffs. "I'm not going to go against my man Deion (Sanders) anymore this season."

Aside from being proven wrong by Colorado, Saban was also proven wrong by his wife, Miss. Terry, who was actually the guest picker on "College GameDay" during Week 5, scolded him on-air for picking against Colorado.

While Sanders likely appreciates the support from his Aflac commercial co-star, he may not love that Colorado is now susceptible to the "College GameDay" jinx. All of the panelists picked Colorado to win, which many fans view as some sort of bad luck.

Regardless, the Buffs are heading into the Saturday night matchup ready to make a statement as 3.5-point underdogs. The game is set to kickoff at 10:15 pm ET on ESPN.
