ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is covering a lot of ground on Saturday.

After starting the day in Eugene for ESPN's College GameDay show for No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Oregon, Herbstreit left the set early to make his way to Dallas for the Red River Rivalry matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma.

Herbstreit left Eugene in a convertible and hopped on a plane to Dallas. The ESPN analyst finished his College GameDay duties from 40,000 feet.

After the conclusion of ESPN's flagship college football program, Herbstreit provided an update on his travel progress across the country.

"Currently over New Mexico and about an hour from touching down. Still have 2 hours to make it to the booth for opening kick for OU/Texas!" Herbstreit wrote on X.

In his decades-long career as a College GameDay analyst, Herbstreit had never left the show early in order to make it to another game.

If all goes well with the remainder of his trip, Herbstreit will be in the booth when the Longhorns kickoff against the Sooners at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

5-0 Texas is favored by 16.5 points in this neutral-site rivalry matchup against 4-1 Oklahoma.
