Alabama Fans Ready to Move On From Kalen DeBoer Amid Struggles Vs. South Carolina

Things have quickly gone south for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and it all started when they lost to the unranked Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 6. The woes continue on Saturday as Alabama is struggling against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the fourth quarter.
Something just isn't clicking for the Crimson Tide. Although they looked fantastic early on and even beat the Georgia Bulldogs recently, Alabama just hasn't looked the same in the past two games.
Fans applied pressure on head coach Kalen DeBoer after the Vanderbilt, and understandably so. This program has some of the highest expectations in the nation, and losing to an unranked program is unheard of.
Despite keeping the game close throughout, Alabama fans want to see the Crimson Tide blowout, unranked opponents. That hasn't been the case this season, and it appears the fanbase is losing trust in head coach Kalen DeBoer.
During the game, fans hopped on X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their displeasure with the soon-to-be 50-year-old head coach. Many of them seem to believe DeBoer was not the right choice to replace Nick Saban.
"Somebody taking over Alabama the year after Nick Saban retires is going about as well as I thought anybody taking over Alabama the year after Nick Saban retires would go," claimed one fan .
"If Alabama drops this game, it's going to get hot around the collar for Kalen DeBoer. Destroying what Saban built in one season," said another fan .
One user believes , "Alabama misses the hell out of Nick Saban. Their program is on a clear downward trajectory."
"Kalen DeBoer's current approval rating from the Alabama fan base is zero percent. It was 100 percent eight days ago. Is this the quickest a fan base has ever turned on a coach?" Ponders another fan .
Now, keep in mind all this noise is coming to fruition while Alabama holds a slim 20-19 lead late in the fourth quarter. The Crimson Tide still has a chance to win the game and advance to a 5-1 record.
But it's noteworthy that they continue to struggle against teams they probably shouldn't be struggling against. South Carolina has had a roller coaster of a season and entered this contest with a 3-2 record.
The pressure keeps building for DeBoer, and a loss against the Gamecocks could be the breaking point for Crimson Tide fans. But after signing an eight-year $87 million contract, it's hard to imagine the Alabama football program fires DeBoer after six games.
Fans, please stop the “mightier than thou attitude “ it’s only one freaking game and the man is now 5 - 1 after today. If he had a losing record I can understand the feeling and yes Vandy had a 2 - 2 record, but in sports anything can happen. The 1969 Mets beat The Baltimore Orioles in the World Series, that was considered a miracle. So right now let’s give coach DeBoer some back up.
