Alabama needed a bounce-back win today after last week's shocking loss to Vanderbilt, and the Crimson Tide barely held on for the win. An insane sequence capped off the fourth quarter as Alabama escaped with a 27-25 victory.

With 43 seconds left in the game, LaNorris Sellers hit receiver Nyck Harbor for a 31-yard touchdown. That cut the lead to two points, but the Gamecocks failed on their two-point conversion attempt

South Carolina was forced to attempt an onside kick, which it miraculously recovered. That put the Gamecocks' offense back on the field, and Sellers tried to steal the game. However, he attempted a deep pass that was picked off by Domani Jackson.

Alabama's record moves to 5-1 with the win, but this is the second straight week with an uneven showing against an inferior opponent. With massive games coming up against Tennessee and LSU, the Crimson Tide needs to clean things up. Head coach Kalen DeBoer still has a lot of work to do with this roster in his first year in Tuscaloosa.

It's only going to get tougher down the road defense played hard but there's still something missing.
