College Football Coach's Cryptic Post Has Everyone Saying the Same Thing Amid Rumors

College football rumors are swirling as Halloween nears, with some Florida Gators fans speculating about the future of head coach Billy Napier. The Gators coach has not been fired, but this is not stopping some fans from looking across the SEC for potential replacements.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, known for his playful social media presence, sparked conversation among Gators fans when he posted a photo of a gator in a lake on X (formerly Twitter). The post came just hours before Ole Miss faced LSU in a primetime matchup, leading to speculation and excitement among Florida fans.

"Good sign!!! ⁦@OleMissFB," Kiffin said along with the gator photo in an Oct. 12 message on X.

Kiffin has been a popular name linked to Florida if the program does move on from Napier. The Athletic's Bruce Feldman mentioned Kiffin, as well as Missouri Tigers head coach Eliah Drinkwitz, as top candidates for Florida if the school makes a move.

"Three names to keep in mind if they do make the move: Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss , Eliah Drinkwitz at Mizzou and Jedd Fisch at Washington," Feldman said on an Oct. 5 episode of Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff," via The Gainesville Sun. "(Fisch) is a former Steve Spurrier protege, graduated from there. But he just got to (Washington) and he may not be ready to make any moves."

One account cautioned fans from reading too much into Kiffin's post. The Ole Miss coach has been known to troll fans on social media a time or two.

"For context he posted the same thing last week on gameday and we won," the account replied . "This might be the new tradition."

Kiffin gave a response of his own to this reply: "Saturday jog."

Some Gators fans are hoping these jogs will soon happen in Gainesville instead of Oxford.
