Arch Manning's Dad's Headgear Choice Draws Attention at Texas-Oklahoma

Texas absolutely embarrassed Oklahoma in the historic Red River Rivalry. Before the game, the Sooners had dominated in recent history, excluding a Longhorns blowout win in 2022.

On Saturday, the Longhorns got the best of Oklahoma's defunct offense and lack of experience, routing them 34-3. A 21-0 second quarter victory propelled Texas to the large victory, proving just why they are the No. 1 ranked program in the nation.

In the contest, Quinn Ewers returned to the gridiron. The bye week gave him enough time to get healthy. He opened the game with an interception, but he got back on track and led his squad to a huge victory.

The rivalry matchup -- which goes in favor of Texas all-time -- was a good return game for Ewers as the Longhorns face the Georgia Bulldogs in Austin in Week 8.

Unfortunately, the return of Ewers saw fan-favorite Arch Manning return to the bench. He has completed 55 of his 78 passes for 901 yards, eight touchdowns and just two interceptions in his games played this season.

Despite returning to the bench, his parents still showed up to the Red River Rivalry in his support. His father, Cooper, was sporting a very, very large cowboy hat, which fit the scene.

The historic matchup, which takes place in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX, continually provides chaos. There was certainly a chance for Manning to step into the game and make big plays. While it didn't happen, it would certainly be fitting for the series.

Manning is set to take over under center after this season, which will more than likely see Ewers take his talents to the NFL, paving the way for the highly-touted quarterback to take over the program.
