Joel Klatt Blasts Officials for Late No-Call in Colorado-Kansas State

Colorado mounted a thrilling late-game comeback but ultimately fell short against Kansas State, losing 31-28 on Saturday.

The Buffaloes, led by Shedeur Sanders, had a final chance to pull off some late-game magic. However, on a crucial fourth down with just over a minute remaining, Sanders launched a deep pass that fell incomplete, ending Colorado's hopes of a comeback.

Controversy erupted as many, including Fox analyst Joel Klatt, criticized the lack of a pass interference call on what would be the Buffaloes' final offensive play of the night.

"How is that not a PI on K-State???" Klatt wrote on X . "100% catchable...brutal."

Backers of the Buffaloes expressed a similar sentiment.

"They must be watching a different game because that was an obvious PI!" a fan said .

While some took issue with the no-call, others were confused by Sanders' decision on the throw.

"Throw it 7 yards instead of 45 yards on 4th and 5," another fan said . "Questionable no call but extremely questionable decision to throw that ball."

It's hard to fault Sanders, who played a chunk of the game without two of his top weapons — Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr. Sanders finished with 388 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a costly red-zone interception.

Colorado dropped to 4-2 with the loss and will face Arizona next week.
