The final top-25 game of Week 7 was between No. 18 Kansas State and Colorado in Boulder.

This game had everything, which included an unfortunate injury to Colorado two-way star and Heisman Trophy hopeful Travis Hunter.

The Buffs took a late lead after an interception led to a quick touchdown, but Kansas State responded immediately with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Avery Johnson to Jayce Brown.

By the end, it was Kansas State that prevailed with a 31-28 win in a Big 12 Conference thriller.

After Kansas State took the late lead, Colorado had a chance to march down the field and tie or even get the win.

However, Shedeur Sanders threw an incomplete pass on 4th-and-5 intended for Will Sheppard.

Right after, the officiating crew quickly caught heat on social media for not calling a pass interference on the play.

"how is that not a PI on K-State???" Joel Klatt wrote on X .

Skip Bayless had a similar reaction to the no-call.

"INTERFERENCE!!! COME ON, REFS. OBVIOUS. BALL WA RIGHT ON THE MONEY. NOT OUT OF BOUNDS. DB GOT THERE EARLY."

Colorado athletic director Rick George also appeared to be frustrated at the decision.

"Colorado AD Rick George seems very mad about the no-call on the sideline while former defensive back Deion Sanders has no reaction. Kind of says it all," Dan Wolken wrote.

"literally running thru the WR n not making a play on the ball. Colorado was robbed," a fan wrote on X.

    "Definitely PI," said another .

"Yes. Also to say that’s uncatchable is wild," a fan wrote in response to the video with the question about whether it was PI or not.

"Refs cheating the Buffs like usual," said a Colorado fan.

"100% yes. That’s terrible. And 2 plays prior was PI as well, uncalled," another fan mentioned.

It was a tough turn of events for Colorado. The Buffs took a late lead with less than four minutes to play, only for Kansas State to respond within a minute.

Then, the 4th-down play has fans questioning the decision by the officiating crew.

Colorado falls to 4-2 on the year, and this loss should sting for some time.
