The Colorado Buffaloes suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas State Wildcats in Boulder on Saturday night.

Colorado took a late lead as Shedeur Sanders connected with LaJohntay Wester. However, Kansas State then scored less than a minute later to take a 31-28 lead.

The game ended with that score, despite the Buffs attempting to march down the field in the final seconds. A key moment that had fans questioning the officiating was Sanders' fourth-down attempt, which was not flagged for pass interference.

However, the biggest concern for Colorado in the game was the status of two-way star Travis Hunter, who exited early due to a shoulder injury.

After the game, Deion Sanders addressed Hunter's injury, although he didn't have a firm update just yet.

"Colorado head coach Deion Sanders said he doesn't have updates on injuries for Travis Hunter, Jimmy Horn and Omarion Miller," Brian Howell wrote on X.

"I haven't got an update on those particular young men," Sanders said in a post-game interview with the press. "Hopefully, they could get back at it, but we're not gonna rush them. Their safety and their health is much more important than this game."

The Buffs saw three key players suffer injuries in the loss to Kansas State, although there is no question Hunter's status is the biggest one to monitor.

The two-way sensation had three catches for 26 yards before leaving the game.

If Hunter is forced to miss time, it will be a big blow to Colorado on offense and defense.

In Week 8, Colorado faces Arizona on the road in another tough Big 12 Conference showdown, and Hunter's status will be the big storyline to keep an eye on in the next few days.
