The ESPN "College GameDay" crew largely favored the betting favorites in Week 7, offering their predictions for a high-stakes lineup that included No. 2 Ohio State versus No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Penn State versus USC, and No. 9 Ole Miss versus No. 13 LSU.

Kirk Herbstreit was one of the few "College GameDay" cast members who decided to roll the dice and pick an upset in Week 7.

When the crew focused their discussion on LSU hosting Ole Miss, Herbstreit mentioned that an upset could be brewing in the SEC.

He explained that he has a ton of respect for Tiger Stadium and believes LSU had difference-makers that could help them pull off the victory.

"I just have too much respect for Death Valley," Herbstreit said. "8 o’clock kick at night. That’s a tough environment...I’ll tell you what, if you hadn’t seen Caden Durham emerge, 29 out of the backfield. Runs it, catches it. Gives that offense a real spark. I think he makes some plays. Could be the difference in the game.”

LSU went into the game as a 3.5-point underdog and left with a 29-26 victory in overtime.

Herbstreit was correct in picking the SEC upset, but his statement about running back Caden Durham didn't quite pan out.

The Tigers' running game was nearly nonexistent. They finished the game with 84 total rushing yards, with Durham logging 37 rushing yards on 12 carries.

Much of the Tigers' offensive success came from the quarterback-wide receiver duo of Garrett Nussmeier and Kyren Lacy. Nussmeier produced three touchdowns and 337 yards, completing 22-of-51 pass attempts.

Lacy finished the game with one touchdown on five receptions and 111 yards. He was responsible for the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

With the win over the Rebels, the Tigers advanced to 5-1 on the season, while Ole Miss fell to 5-2.
