The Cleveland Browns will look to turn their season around against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The Browns have had a disastrous start to the 2024 season, going 1-4 after entering the year with playoff expectations.

The team has struggled mightily with injuries and other circumstances keeping players out of games. However, they will have a potentially impactful player making his debut on Sunday.

Rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. is set to make his NFL debut after serving a five-game suspension to begin his career. Hall was suspended for a domestic violence charge, which was eventually pled down to a disorderly conduct charge and a delayed jail sentence.

Hall spoke to the media for the first time since his arrest on Friday, keeping his focus on the future.

“It was just an unfortunate event, but just controlling what I can control as a man and a person,” Hall said. “Just, you got to move forward and just continue going to counseling and all that. It’s been a real help.”

Hall continued, speaking about how the team has welcomed him back after the event.

“I’m happy that everybody accepted me after the unfortunate event that happened recently. Just moving on and moving forward and trying to get back out there and in a groove of things... There is no love lost, and [I'm] excited to get back out there with them.”

Hall calling the situation "unfortunate'' is a head-turner to some, who think he sounds less than repentant here.

The Browns selected Hall in the second round of the 2024 draft out of Ohio State. Cleveland likely expects him to make an immediate impact, as they will have their hands full against the Eagles.
