Barack Obama's NBA All-Time Starting 5 Draws Mixed Reaction

Former U.S. President Barack Obama is an avid basketball fan.

During and after his political career, Obama attended some of the biggest games in basketball, from college to NBA to Team USA.

While he was the president, he had a basketball court installed at the White House, the Washington Post reported in 2019.

Obama's love for basketball was very evident when the High Ground Media -- the media production company he and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, founded -- produced Netflix's first NBA docuseries, "Starting 5."

To promote the show, Obama has assembled his all-time NBA "Starting 5."

A Chicago native who watched Michael Jordan's Bulls dynasty in the 1990s, Obama picked the widely acknowledged all-time greatest player first as his team's shooting guard.

Next, he picked Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James as his point forward. Rounding up his favorite all-time starting five are Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry as his point guard, NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon at center and Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant as his other forward.

"I'm feeling pretty good about that five beating just about anybody," Obama said.

Obama's picks drew mixed reactions from NBA fans.

"No Scottie Pippen?!" one fan asked , referring to his era's most versatile forward and Jordan's sidekick with the Bulls.

Another fan shared : "My 5 1. LeBron James 2. Magic Johnson 3 Steph Curry 4 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 5 Jordan."

"That’s a great team. Almost perfect one, it could suffer on the defensive end though," another fan commented .

One fan r eplied : "Oooh yeah good team. Not sure about KD there. Maybe Shaq - he’d dominate in any era. Solid!"

One more fan tweeted : "This would be the coldest squad ever assembled. Ball knower."

Aside from all the political bullshit just allow this b-ball fan to comment. Any "all-time" NBA team will loose without Wilt. Mr. B., your 5 would never win without him. And I'll take Magic, Bird, The Big O and Kobie. Drop mic, here
