Eagles Fans Are All Saying The Same Thing; Tied With Browns at Halftime

Just when you think the Philadelphia Eagles have turned a corner as an organization, they find ways to show their problems are much deeper than that.

Take Sunday's first half against the Cleveland Browns.

Philadelphia squandered a 10-3 late lead thanks to a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown to send the two teams to the half tied at 10. And Eagles fans on social media are certainly saying much of the same thing - as they feel they're seeing too much of the same level of incompetence.

For the fifth straight game to start the season, Philadelphia did not score a point during the game's first quarter of action. Instead, the Eagles' offense sputtered with the return of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

It wasn't until the second quarter that the offense began to show life.

Philadelphia got the scoring started with a 49-yard field goal by Jake Elliott. A drive later, Jalen Hurts found Brown deep for a score.

The Eagles' early 10-0 lead was quickly squandered in the very next drive by Deshaun Watson and the Browns rushing attack. While a Jalen Carter sack kept the Browns out of the end zone, the field goal kept the score within one possession.

A late 57-yard field goal was blocked courtesy of Cleveland and returned for a touchdown by former Eagles great Rodney McLeod.

Boos quickly followed the team into the locker room with the game tied at 10 with the 1-4 Browns - a clear microcosm of the struggles the Eagles have had to do the simple in the last few weeks.
