Pro Basketball Hall of Fame Trolls Sheryl Swoopes Over Caitlin Clark

Sports fans love a good rivalry, and Swoopes’ disdain for the WNBA Rookie of the Year has created plenty of content and given fans plenty to discuss over the last 10 months.

Swoopes has been one of Clark’s biggest critics, and she rarely posts on social media without someone trying to relate it back to being a dig at Clark. Fans have enjoyed poking fun at Swoopes’ pettiness, and now it appear someone at the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame got in on the vindictiveness.

A tweet posted by the Clark Report X account on Sunday morning shows that a sing of Clark standing at 6-foot tall was placed directly under a Swoopes banner.

Given the high-profile grudge Swoopes seemingly has against Clark, the sign placement feels too on-the-nose to be a coincidence.

Fans noticed it as well, with many tipping their cap to whoever placed the Clark sign where it stands for the next-level trolling.

“An absolute legend did this!! Master level trolling,” one user wrote .

“I don't know [who did this] but they need a raise!” another user commented .

“The greatest smarta** ever,” a third fan remarked .

“THATS AWESOME!!!! Whoever did is my HERO!!!” exclaimed another user .

“Double their pay,” stated another .

“Somebody has a wicked sense of humor” proclaimed another fan .

Among the notable jabs Swoopes has taken at Clark, the most notable include her claims that several Fever players don’t want to play with Clark and her declaration that Clark wasn’t dominant during her rookie season.

The 22-year-old Clark topped all rookies in points per game (19.2), assists per game (8.4), minutes per game (35.4), steals per game (1.3), made field goals (242) and made 3-pointers (122), and she led the WNBA in assists (337), assists per game and made 3-pointers.

She was named WNBA Rookie of the Year and was a unanimous selection for the Associated Press WNBA Rookie of the Year award in addition to being voted to the AP All-WNBA First Team and AP All-Rookie Team.
