Dua Lipa Going Viral For Wearing a Texas Longhorns Jersey After Red River Rivalry Win

It feels extremely safe to say that the No. 1 Texas Longhorns had a phenomenal Week 7 on and off the field.

Despite not having their best game, the Longhorns still blasted the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners by a score of 34-3 in the iconic Red River Rivalry. The Texas defense dominated the Sooners' offense, forcing two turnovers while also getting to quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. five times.

Offensively, running back Quintrevion Wisner led the way, rushing for 118 yards and a score on 9.1 yards per carry. The win not only got Texas the golden hat back, but also helped them remain as the lone undefeated team in the SEC. On top of that, Texas is also firmly placed as the No. 1 team in college football in the latest AP Poll.

However, those weren't the only victories for the Longhorns, as three-time Grammy-winning singer Dua Lipa was also spotted wearing a custom Texas jersey while performing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. A video of her asking the crowd in Austin if they liked the jersey is going viral. She also performed her song "Be the One" in the jersey.

The 29-year-old London native also posted the video to her Instagram, which has 87.5 million followers, and her X account, which has 10.3 million followers.

While she may not have ties to Texas, she may have helped the program have a Taylor Swift-like effect in terms of bringing in new fans. After beating their biggest rival on the biggest stage, while also attracting one of the most famous musicians in the world, the Longhorns have to be riding high.
