Detroit Lions All-Pro edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson was carted off the field following a gruesome-looking injury he suffered while sacking Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott on Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

The NFL on Fox broadcast refused to show the replay of the injury, saying "Trust me, you don't want to see it."

Hutchinson was pulling down Prescott for a sack on the play in the third quarter when it appeared that something was snapped in his leg .

Hutchinson immediately took off his gloves and could be seen mouthing the words, "I broke it."

Hutchinson appeared to be in extreme pain as he was on the ground following the play. Teammates surrounded Hutchinson with Cowboys players also patting Hutchinson and speaking to him before he was taken off the field.

The team has ruled the defensive end out of the remainder of the game, calling it a "lower leg" injury. They appeared to put an air cast on Hutchinson's lower left leg.

Despite dominating the Cowboys up to that point, losing Hutchinson will be a detrimental blow to Detroit's season. The defensive leader leads the NFL with 7.5 sacks this season and has been a driving force off the edge all year long.

The Lions already lost their other starting edge rusher Marcus Davenport earlier this season to a season-ending injury.

If Hutchinson misses an extensive amount of time, it wouldn't come a surprise at this point to see Detroit's front office make moves before the trade deadline to bolster the team's pass rush.
