The Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners renewed their Red River Rivalry for the first time as SEC foes on Saturday. The Longhorns showed the world why they are the top-ranked team in college football with a 34-3 win.

After the game, Texas linebackers Anthony Hill Jr and Barryn Sorrell celebrated by driving a Longhorns flag through Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield's Oklahoma jersey.

The actions of Hill and Sorrell were meant to mock Mayfield, as he did the same thing to Ohio State with a Sooners flag in 2017.

Mayfield took note of the disrespect the Longhorns showed, and after the Bucs 51-27 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, the former Heisman winner revealed his thoughts on the act.

"It's just a kid from Austin, Texas, that went to Oklahoma and won his last two Red River games and being rent free in their heads for almost a decade now," Mayfield said.

Following a one-year stint with the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Mayfield transferred to Oklahoma, where he played for three seasons from 2015 to 2017. During his time with the Sooners, the quarterback threw for 12,292 yards, 119 touchdowns and just 21 interceptions. He went on to be the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.

The Longhorns have started the 2024 season with a 6-0 record and 2-0 in SEC play. They will get one of their biggest tests of the year in Week 8 as they host the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs.
