Fans Horrified By Aidan Hutchinson Gruesome Leg Injury in Cowboys vs. Lions: Video

ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys sit facing an uphill climb in their Week 6 matchup here at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, as they trail the Detroit Lions 34-6 early in the third quarter. Detroit capitalized on a big play from Jahmyr Gibbs before a most gruesome occurrence as they have lost star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson to a seemingly serious leg injury.

After entering halftime down 27-6, Dallas allowed another touchdown early in the second half. The Lions opened the third quarter with a swift drive, starting at their own 30-yard line. On the second play of the drive, quarterback Jared Goff connected with running back Jahmyr Gibbs for a 20-yard pass, moving the Lions deep into Cowboys territory.

Just three plays later, Goff found wide receiver Jameson Williams for a 37-yard touchdown pass, extending Detroit’s lead to 34-6 with 12:35 remaining in the third.

Dallas’ ensuing possession is failing to shift momentum. The Cowboys’ offensive line is struggling, allowing another sack on quarterback Dak Prescott, which backed them up and forced a punt. Lions' Aidan Hutchinson, who delivered the sack, had to be carted off the field with a shin injury after the play.

His exit could be significant for the Lions, as Hutchinson - exiting with an injury that horrified TV viewers - has been a key figure in their defense all season.
