The soured relations between P.J. Tucker and the Clippers have finally reached a solution, with the Steve Ballmer organization issuing an official statement . The veteran forward will stay away from the team as the two parties strive for the best situation possible.

It was an association that treaded shaky grounds since the start, as things only worsened with time, especially with Tucker publicly voicing his displeasure over having a limited role on the roster. Fined $75K for publicly demanding a trade, a divorce was on the horizon.

Nonetheless, the 39-year-old remains in demand as teams make a beeline to acquire him. At the forefront are the Bucks, with the Suns, Kings, Heat, Nuggets, and others following suit. Tucker and the Milwaukee franchise share a championship.

P.J. makes for a solid fit on the Bucks roster

During a short but impactful stint with the Bucks, P.J. played a mere 43 games alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and his team, of which 23 were during the postseason. However, the former University of Texas player was instrumental in bringing Milwaukee its second title after five decades.

Unfortunately, owing to salary restrictions, the Bucks couldn't re-sign Tucker. Nevertheless, things come full circle if the latest reports are anything to go by. Known for his defensive tenacity and leadership skills, the 6-foot-5 forward could help coach Doc Rivers.

Acquiring marksman Damian Lillard did come at a cost for the Bucks, who had to part ways with one of their core pieces in Jrue Holiday, leaving a defensive void for them. Therefore, P.J.'s services could be of great use, considering his popularity among the people of Milwaukee and close ties with the Greek Freak.

Giannis and P.J. share a great relationship

The two-time Bucks MVP has never shied away from giving P.J. his flowers. During their championship run in 2021, Giannis had expressed how the veteran helped them with his leadership skills, saying the following :

"He's vocal, a leader, he pushes us to be great," Giannis said after winning Game Four against the Suns in the 2021 Finals.

Giannis and P.J. have many sneaker stories centered on the latter's unique collection. Hence, it will be great to see the two as teammates again.
