The Dallas Cowboys are struggling mightily against the Detroit Lions in their week 6 matchup at AT&T Stadium. Entering the third quarter trailing by a mile, the Cowboys saw their deficit increase after Dak Prescott's second interception led to another Lions touchdown, bringing the score to 47-9 with 13:18 remaining in the game.

And in the second half of the final quarter? Dak has moved to the bench, giving way to backup QB Cooper Rush and other second-teamers.

The Cowboys' latest misstep came after a promising drive was cut short by an errant Prescott pass. After failing to convert a 3rd and 6 at their own 32-yard line, Prescott’s deep pass intended for receiver Jalen Brooks on fourth down was intercepted by Lions defensive back Brian Branch, who returned the ball to the Cowboys' 4-yard line. Cooper Rush would come in on the next drive.

Detroit capitalized immediately, with quarterback Jared Goff finding wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown in the end zone for a quick score, pushing the Lions ahead by 38 points.

Earlier in the game, the Cowboys are having difficulty finding any rhythm on offense. Despite a strong 70-yard kickoff return from KaVontae Turpin, the Cowboys were unable to build momentum. They managed only two field goals, with kicker Brandon Aubrey converting attempts from 34 and 50 yards.

Defensively, the Cowboys have allowed big plays throughout the contest. The Lions’ offense, led by Goff, capitalized on nearly every Cowboys mistake, including a 37-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jameson Williams in the third quarter.

Now down 47-9, the Cowboys must regroup as they enter the fourth quarter. With 13:18 left in the game, Dallas will need to fight to avoid their third loss of the season.
