The Detroit Lions went into AT&T Stadium in Week 6 and got a convincing 47-9 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

It was all Lions from start to finish, and they even held a 27-6 lead going into halftime.

Unfortunately for Detroit, the big storyline is regarding star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson.

The Lions star had to be carted off the field in the third quarter in what turned out to be a gruesome injury to his leg .

He was quickly taken to the hospital and it was reported that Hutchinson underwent immediate surgery to repair a broken tibia , per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

After the game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell had a message during the press conference in response to Hutchsinson's crushing injury.

"He's in good hands right now," Campbell stated. "He's being taken care of. He'll stay (in Dallas) and obviously he's going to be down for a little while. So that's tough, man. It's hard when you lose somebody like him. It's hard when you lose somebody like him. But he'll know a lot more after this and obviously wish him the best."

Hutchinson had gotten off to a strong start and entered the game as the NFL's sack leader, registering 6.5 coming into the Cowboys matchup. He then had a solo tackle and a sack before exiting with the brutal injury.

The Lions star is now out for the season , and the hope is that the 2022 second-overall pick can return to his top form next season.
