The "Sunday Night Football" showdown in Week 6 featured a game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Surprisingly, it was a close game despite the Giants' struggles this season and the explosive offense of the Bengals.

The Bengals opened the scoring before the 10-minute mark of the first quarter with a Joe Burrow 47-yard rushing touchdown. However, they didn't score again until late in the third quarter, managing only a field goal from Evan McPherson, followed by a touchdown from Chase Brown in the final minutes.

The Bengals walked out with a 17-7 victory, but it was a strange game all around.

After the conclusion, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a blunt review of the win during an interview with Melissa Stark.

"Ugly, really ugly," Burrow said when asked to describe the win.  "But we got it done."

It was a sluggish offensive performance for both teams. The Bengals had just 13 first downs in the game and ran 52 plays, while the Giants had 24 first downs and ran 74 plays.

Burrow's play was another question mark. The talented quarterback threw for just 208 yards without a touchdown, although he did score on the ground early in the game. He was also sacked four times in the game, so there were a lot of roadblocks for the offense against the Giants.

He also gave some praise to the Cincinnati defense, which held New York to just one score, which came in the third quarter via a 1-yard run by Tyrone Tracy Jr.

At the end of the day, a win is a win, no matter how ugly it is. The Bengals now move to 2-4 on the season with a game against the Cleveland Browns on October 20.

The Giants drop to 2-4 and take on the Philadelphia Eagles next time out at home.
