Offensive Lineman Cameron Herron Flips Commitment To Notre Dame

Notre Dame has arguably the best offensive line class in the 2025 cycle and that group just got bigger and better thanks to the commitment of Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central standout Cameron Herron . The 6-3, 275-pound blocker was previously committed to Iowa, but he has now flipped that pledge to the Fighting Irish.

Herron was high on Notre Dame early in the process, and he camped in South Bend this summer. Herron performed well, but at the time the Irish staff was comfortable with just three commitments in the class. That view changed in recent weeks, and the result was the Notre Dame staff getting back on Herron, who visited this past weekend to watch the Irish dominate Stanford.

The Warren Central standout committed to Iowa in June, but the Irish kept their eye on him going into his senior season. Despite being undersized at 6-3 and 275 pounds, Herron is off to an outstanding start to his senior season. A guard for Warren Central, Notre Dame projects Herron as a center. Of course, being able to play all three interior spots is a possibility, and a plus, when evaluating Herron.

Herron is now the fourth offensive lineman to commit to the Fighting Irish in the 2025 class. He joins a Notre Dame class that also includes Top 100 blockers Will Black and Owen Strebig , as well as high upside four-star blocker Matty Augustine . Black is ranked as a five-star and the No. 2 player in the country according to On3.

Herron is ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 272 overall player in the country according to On3. He earned offers from Iowa, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Boston College, West Virginia, Purdue, Duke, Indiana, Iowa State, Northwestern and Cincinnati.
