LeBron James Gives Four-Word Response on Teaming Up With Steph Curry

Longtime rivals LeBron James and Stephen Curry finally teamed up in high-stakes games with Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics this past summer.

James was the consistent leader of the team.

At 39, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar became the tournament's oldest MVP after averaging 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.3 steals.

Curry, on the other hand, came through in the knockout rounds with clutch three-pointers.

The Golden State Warriors star drained 17 3-pointers in the last two games -- semifinal against Serbia and gold medal game against host France -- to ensure Team USA's reign in the Olympics continued.

After their chemistry popped in Paris, speculations about future team-up in the NBA became rampant, especially after the Warriors made a run at James during the February trade deadline, which Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul quickly rebuffed .

When asked about this following the Lakers' Monday practice, James had a short but meaningful response.

"I have no idea," he said, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin .

Both superstars re-upped with their respective teams this summer. But James has a $52.6 million player option for the 2025-26 season, which he can decline if he wants to team up with Curry in Golden State.

James said he was super excited to be able to team up with Curry in a win-or-die-type atmosphere.

"That's what it was," James said. "Being a part of the Olympics was everything I dreamed of and inspired me to want to be a part of that team with Steph. Great memories. [It's] Something I [will] remember [in] my basketball career."

James and Curry have faced off in four NBA Finals. Curry won three out of four, but two of them were with Kevin Durant, another Future Hall of Famer.
