Antonio Pierce Considering Changing Things Up With OC Luke Getsy

There's a lot not to like about the Las Vegas Raiders this season. One of the areas that stands out the most for their poor performance this year is the offense.

Early in the offseason, the Raiders brought in Kliff Kingsbury to the be offensive coordinator. However, after seeing that Gardner Minshew would have been his quarterback, Kingsbury left for the Washington Commanders and Jayden Daniels.

Left without an OC, Las Vegas then brought in Luke Getsy as their second choice. After seeing how well Kingsbury has done in Washington, and how poor Getsy has done in Las Vegas, that now looks like a miserable series of events for the Raiders.

Now, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez , head coach Antonio Pierce and the Raiders are contemplating moving Getsy up to the press box to call plays, instead of the sideline, where he's currently at.

In his presser, Pierce was asked whether Getsy would be moved, and his response was that he's still in the process of making his decision. Even though it hasn't officially been decided yet, the fact that the Raiders are even contemplating it is damning.

Moving a coordinator to the press box is usually the last step they get before being fired, so this is a relatively big development for the team. After several bad performances by the offense, many fans are clamoring for him to be fired already.

While he doesn't have a lot to work with, the offense has been downright terrible, especially in the past two weeks. Besides the opening drive on Sunday, which was scripted, the offense was bad for the rest of the Raiders' blowout loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

Something has to change with this offense, and fast. If Getsy does get moved to the press box, hopefully that's able to inspire some type of change.
