MLB Fans Not Receptive to Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Appearance at Yankees-Guardians

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his pop start girlfriend Taylor Swift can’t go anywhere without drawing a crowd.

Anytime the two make a public appearance together, it makes headlines, and it was no different on Monday night when the duo showed up to Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series against the Cleveland Guardians.

While Major League Baseball clearly enjoyed the extra attention the power couple’s appearance brought to the game, many fans weren’t as thrilled with their presence. Some took to social media to express their frustration with both MLB for feeding into the Kelce/Swift circus and the two mega stars for hijacking their playoff baseball experience.

“It’s been 3 innings. I’ve seen her on screen twice. MLB sent a notification to my phone about her being at the game and then I open X to see it…. That’s ridiculous,” one fan expressed .

“Couldn’t even let us get through an inning,” another fan wrote .

“They’re already on tv enough in football, we don’t need them here too,” a third remarked .

“Is MLB this desperate for ratings? I guess so. Lame, I’ll change the channel. I was watching the ALCS game until now,” one user stated .

“Kelce at a Yankees playoff game when Yankees eliminated Kansas City Royals,” a second commented .

“This is a curse waiting to happen,” proclaimed another .

“Trying to boast those ratings I see,” a fourth quipped .

Kelce’s Chiefs are on a bye this week, and Swift had some free time on her hands as her tour hasn’t started back up yet.

The couple made headlines with their weekend date at New York City hotspot Torrisi along with fellow power couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who is one of Swift’s best friends.
