Will Chiefs Bring in New Receiver for Patrick Mahomes?

The Kansas City Chiefs will look to advance to 6-0 when they face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday for a Super Bowl rematch.

The Chiefs have already faced plenty of adversity in 2024 to get to 5-0, as they've already lost two starting receivers for the remainder of the season. Although they have been involved in plenty of rumors in the receiver trade market so far, there are not any signs that the Chiefs plan to make a move for one.

When asked if the team plans to bring in a new receiver, or even a receiver familiar with Kansas City's offense, coach Andy Reid made it clear that nothing is off the table, including keeping the group the same as it is.

"I think that helped JuJu and his situation coming back in and jumping in," Reid said. "It helped Mecole coming back, but I'm not telling you other guys can't come in and help out. I don't think that's an issue – it's just going to take them a little bit longer to figure it out and get on the same page with Pat (Mahomes) and all those things that won't be quite as [seamless] as what you've seen with these other guys that have been in it. And I'm not saying that we need to bring anybody else in."

With no trade currently imminent for Kansas City, it seems as though they'll at least be fielding the same receiving corps for another week.
