The Buffalo Bills snapped their two-game losing streak in their 23-20 win against the New York Jets on "Monday Night Football." ... with QB Josh Allen's arm and instincts playing a key role.

While neither team scored a touchdown in the second half, the Bills were able to secure the win with a late 22-yard field goal by Tyler Bass.

And along the way? A series of big plays and big throws from Allen, including a dazzling and daring 42-yard heave to rookie Ray Davis for a wild 42-yard catch.

Said Davis: “Our quarterback is Josh Allen. You gotta be ready for anything. That man was going out of bounds, launched a rocket. It’s about just catching it. I gotta make him look good.”

Through six games, quarterback Allen has - in one area, for certain - "looked good'' as he is yet to throw an interception. He's the only quarterback in the league who has started every game this season and not thrown a pick. Allen finished the game with 215 passing yards, 18 rushing yards and three total touchdowns. He also completed 76 percent of his passes.

Allen made one of the most crucial plays in the final two minutes of the game, when he converted a third down to secure the win for Buffalo.

Without James Cook due to a toe injury, Allen was able to connect with rookie Davis for three catches and 55 receiving yards. Allen also found tight end Dalton Kincaid for six receptions and 51 yards.

On the other side, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished with 294 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception. While Rodgers finished with more yards, his one turnover on New York's final drive ended up being crucial.

Through six starts in 2024, the "rocket''-launching Allen has 1,160 passing yards, 178 rushing yards and 13 total touchdowns. With Buffalo at the top of the AFC East, and Allen playing very smart football, he is certainly in contention for his first-career MVP.
