ESPN's Stephen A. Smith Pulls No Punches on What He Thinks About the Cowboys

Stephen A. Smith is a Dallas Cowboys hater. If fans don't know that, the veteran ESPN commentator made that abundantly clear on Monday.

The Cowboys got blown out by the Detroit Lions in their Sunday Week 6 showdown, with Dak Prescott and Co. unable to put up a fight against a top-three offense in the NFL.

After taking a 27-6 lead in the first half, the Lions added more to the Cowboys' misery by putting up another 20 points and limiting them to just three in the second half for the final 47-9 win.

It's the fifth-worst loss in franchise history, but the ugliest since Jerry Jones purchased the team in 1989.

Smith, for his part, has always been a stern critic of the Cowboys. That said, he had a field day rubbing more salt into Dallas' wound with some strong opinions on the team's loss to Detroit.

"The Dallas Cowboys celebrated their owner Jerry Jones 82nd birthday with a disastrous loss on Sunday to the Detroit Lions, 47-9," Smith started his post on LinkedIn, referencing Jones' birthday.

"The Cowboys lived up to my low expectations after they were dominated by the Lions."

Smith then went on to highlight how the Cowboys ended up on the wrong end of history in their defeat, sharing: "Dak Prescott threw two interceptions in the worst home loss since 1988 for the Cowboys (3-3), who became the first team since at least 2000 to trail by 14 or more more points at halftime in four consecutive games on their home field. Dallas is 0-3 at home and 3-0 on the road."

"...The current skid followed a 16-game home winning streak that was second-longest in franchise history, and the 167 points allowed by Dallas are the third most in a four-game home stretch in NFL history."

The veteran ESPN commentator has never been shy about expressing his disdain for the Cowboys, and unfortunately for Dallas, their up-and-down season continues to give Stephen A. Smith more material to use against them.

Dallas will have a chance to reflect and rest in their bye week before returning to action in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers. Sure enough, fans can expect Stephen A. to watch the game and see how the Cowboys will perform.
