The college football season has been quite wild. Programs like Notre Dame and Alabama have suffered upset losses. Oregon defeated Ohio State in Week 7.  Alabama took down Georgia, who was the top-ranked program at the time.

Needless to say, this college football season has been quite chaotic. For Penn State, they've had quite an easy time, though. They're currently ranked No. 3 after a 6-0 start to the season.

Most recently, the Penn State Nittany Lions took down the USC Trojans in a 33-30 overtime victory. They had to mount a comeback, as they were down by two scores, to defeat a 3-2 USC squad.

Now, USC's record isn't totally indicative of their season. One of their three losses came to Michigan, though the other non-Penn State loss came to Minnesota. Still, they defeated ranked LSU to kick off the season.

Penn State defeating USC in a close win, despite the Trojans being unranked, isn't necessarily a bad win. But one might expect more from a No. 3-ranked program in the nation.

Some have taken a problem with Penn State's ranking, claiming they're not worthy of such.

Mike Golic and Mike Golic Jr. took to "Gojo and Golic" to share their feelings regarding Penn State's AP Poll ranking.

"I'm still not sold on Penn State," Golic claimed. "Maybe that's just for years past they couldn't crack up ahead of Ohio State and Michigan. ...I think they're a better team, they're ranked high, but I don't think of them as that high."

Golic isn't the only host of the show with that opinion, as Golic Jr. is right there with him.

"They are not the third best team in college football; I think I can say that pretty definitively," Golic Jr. claimed.

The Nittany Lions are entering a bye week. They then play Wisconsin, followed by a matchup with No. 4-ranked Ohio State. Penn State will absolutely be able to show if their ranking is valid or not.

Who cares about his opinion. Ohio was ranked higher with a loss. Other teams with a loss have been ranked higher. It's just another "experts" opinion.
