After the Dallas Cowboys' dismal showing against the Detroit Lions, Mike McCarthy is on the hot seat. Dallas got destroyed by the surging NFC North squad 47-9, with McCarthy's squad not even putting up a fight.

That loss sent the Cowboys to a 3-3 record for the season. That record is far below the lofty expectations Dallas has for themselves. Some feel that the loss could lead owner Jerry Jones to fire McCarthy.

However, Jones doesn't believe in making drastic changes in the middle of the season. The Cowboys owner reiterated that stance during his appearance on the 105.3 The Fan radio show.

In the show, Jones was asked about his decision to fire Wade Phillips in the middle of the 2010 season. In his response, the Cowboys owner said that he doesn't plan to make any coaching changes in the middle of this season.

It's worth noting that Phillips was fired by the Cowboys after a 45-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers led them to a 1-7 record in the 2010 season. A 3-3 record isn't the best, but McCarthy's team is clearly still performing way better than Phillips was when he was fired.

Still, the 3-3 record does not inspire confidence in the Cowboys. Two of their wins come against teams that are now below .500 (Giants and Browns), while losing to the Ravens, Saints, and Lions. It's not looking good for Dallas this season.
