Cowboys Live Reaction: Fans All Saying the Same Thing on Jerry Jones’ ‘Unhinged’ Rant

It was a long and forgettable day for the Dallas Cowboys as they were routed 47-9 by the Detroit Lions on Sunday, marking their fourth-straight home loss. The 38-point defeat, marked the Cowboys' worst loss at AT&T Stadium since it opened in 2009, not to mention it came on owner Jerry Jones’ 82nd birthday, making it a particularly tough pill to swallow.

The Cowboys flirted with the wrong side of history as it nearly became their fifth loss by 40 or more points. When asked about the team’s performance, Jones didn’t hold back, calling it "very concerning" and "very humbling."

"This was a shocker," said Jones. However, the Cowboys' owner wasn’t just focused on the game.

During his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones took offense when the host questioned on his decision-making. … Like anyone backed into a corner they are going to fight to get out of it, regardless of if they are right or wrong, even going as far as threatening the host’s job.

“This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You’re not going to figure out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or ten like you, you need to come to this meeting I’m going to today that 32 teams here your geniuses. Y’all really think you’re going to sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I’ve done wrong without going over the right.” said Jones sternly.

Jones would later offer apologies for the loss and would double down on 'We like our guys'.

Our Mike Fisher offered a live video reaction to the rant, which has many fans saying the same thing about its “unhinged” nature.

While Jones’ reaction underscored the tension within the organization and Jones stays firm that he’s not making any changes at the moment. However, his comments could have inadvertently sent a message to head coach Mike McCarthy and the rest of the team that he is NOT happy with their performance. With a much-needed bye week, the Cowboys have time to regroup before facing the San Francisco 49ers, a team that has consistently gotten the better of Dallas in recent matchups.
