    ESPN Makes 'College GameDay' Announcement Following Ohio State-Oregon Game

    The No. 3 Oregon Ducks pulled off a thrilling upset over the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes , winning 32-31 in a historic showdown in front of their home crowd in Eugene, Oregon.

    ]This matchup marked the first top-five game at Autzen Stadium and was broadcasted on NBC , heightening the excitement surrounding the Big Ten clash.

    The anticipation began early on the Oregon campus, where ESPN's "College GameDay" hosted its Week 7 episode in front of a massive crowd of passionate Ducks fans.

    The show was historic in its own right, and ESPN announced on Tuesday that it delivered impressive viewership numbers. It was reportedly the best October episode since 2009, averaging 2.3 million viewers, with the final hour peaking at 3.5 million.

    Hosted by Rece Davis and featuring analysts like Desmond Howard , Pat McAfee , Nick Saban , Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit , "College GameDay" is on track for its best season yet. Week 7 saw a 7% increase in viewership compared to 2023, averaging 2.2 million viewers so far this year.

    Although Corso was absent for the second week in a row due to illness, the episode remained captivating, filled with uncertainty and memorable moments. The hope is that he will be able to return for Week 8 when the crew heads to Austin, Texas for a major matchup between the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 1 Texas Longhorns .
