Week 8 of the college football season has another loaded slate. This one features LSU-Arkansas, Michigan-Illinois, Alabama-Tennessee, and Georgia-Texas.

Notre Dame faces Georgia Tech in another intriguing matchup, and Nebraska-Indiana is a surprising Big Ten battle to watch.

The SEC alone has a few notable games that could shift the standings in the conference.

However, the biggest one of them all is Georgia facing Texas in Austin . This is a battle of two top-5 teams and the Bulldogs' only loss this year came against Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

The Carson Beck-Quinn Ewers quarterback battle is a big one, and the winner could have an upper hand in the SEC over the next few weeks.

Ahead of the weekend, college football analyst and "College GameDay" host Rece Davis gave his thoughts on the game and hinted at a potential upset for Week 8.

"I think it's going to be a great game," Davis stated. "I think Georgia's got a great chance."

"Do I think Texas should be the favorite? Yeah, I do," Davis continued. "But I've seen way too much Kirby Smart football to think that Georgia goes into any game completed outmanned with no hope."

Davis mentions Texas hasn't seen anything like the Georgia offense yet this season, so it could make for an intriguing game going into Week 8.

Texas is favored entering this game with a -3.5 line (-110) from BetMGM.

The Longhorns have yet to lose this year. On top of that, they are fresh off a 34-3 blowout over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.

Nonetheless, Davis is hinting at Georgia pulling off the upset despite the strong play of the Longhorns.
