It did not take long for Ohio State Buckeyes star receiver Jeremiah Smith to create plenty of college football news, but now the playmaker also has the attention of the NFL. The Buckeyes freshman phenom is cousins with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith.

As Ohio State took on the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, the two-time Pro Bowl quarterback was in attendance to cheer on his cousin. Geno frequently takes to social media to talk up Jeremiah's game.

Not that the receiver needs much help as the star is already putting up video game numbers during his freshman season. Jeremiah has 32 receptions for 553 yards and 7 touchdowns in his first six college football games.

The receiver notched 9 receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown during Ohio State's loss to Oregon. After the game, Geno shared a photo of himself embracing Jeremiah with one word: "Generational."

It is high praise coming from the Seahawks quarterback who knows quality receivers. Seattle has one of the best trios in the league with DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and former Ohio State standout Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Seahawks fans will have to wait to see if Jeremiah gets added to this loaded position group. The freshman wideout is not eligible to turn pro until the 2027 NFL draft .
