Lakers Owner Jeanie Buss Makes Admission About New Husband

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss is the daughter of Jerry Buss, the team's owner from 1978 until his passing in 2013. Jerry was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.

Winning five NBA championships in his 34 years as Lakers owner, Buss passed down the iconic franchise to his daughter. Jeanie has overseen four Lakers playoff appearances and one NBA championship (2020) since taking over the team in 2013.

The personal life of high-profile NBA executives like Jeanie Buss is often of interest to fans. During a recent appearance on Dwight Howard's "Above The Rim with DH 12" podcast , Buss opened up about some personal matters.

When asked by Howard what she does to stay away from the outside noise, Buss mentioned her new husband, comedian Jay Mohr.

"I got married last year," Buss said. "I'm very happy."

Buss made an honest admission about this new marriage when asked how it has been. According to the Lakers owner, she did not expect to like it as much as she has.

"I really love it," Buss admitted. "I really do. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do."

Buss added that she is also the stepmother to a 13-year-old son. Marrying Mohr in September, 2023, Buss embarked on this new chapter of her life that she admits to enjoying much more than she expected to.
