The Las Vegas Raiders finally moved on from Davante Adams today, trading the former All-Pro wideout to the New York Jets. However, they also brought Tom Brady into the building as a minority owner, and the primary owner, Mark Davis, was thrilled about the exchange.

"We traded Davante Adams for Tom Brady and a third-round pick today," Davis said. "Although Tom can't play, he can help us select a quarterback in the future and potentially train him as well."

Davis also joked about the infamous "Tuck Rule" play that allowed Tom Brady's Patriots to beat the Raiders in the 2001 playoffs.

"Tom is somebody that for many years I didn't like very much," Davis said. "But we've been through those situations before, and really, it's the people that make the call, it's not the guys who are playing. He did admit it was a fumble."

Davis also spoke about how this partnership has been years in the making, dating back to when Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent in 2020. Davis wanted him to play for the Raiders, but that "didn't come to fruition for certain reasons. He went to Tampa Bay and wound up winning a Super Bowl."

Nevertheless, Davis said the Raiders are "really proud to have him as part of this organization. He's a competitor. He's a bright young man."
