'What The Hell's Wrong With Jerry?' Cowboys Analyst Weighs In: VIDEO

After a tough stretch on the field, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is making headlines off of it. Following one of the worst losses of his tenure as team owner, Jones showed frustration during his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan. When asked about his decision-making , Jones didn’t hold back and went as far as threatening the host's job.

“This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You’re not going to figure out what the team is doing right or wrong,” Jones snapped.

“Y’all really think you’re going to sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I’ve done wrong without going over the right,” Jones added, expressing his clear frustration. But hey, bad publicity is still publicity.

Former NFL player and ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe weighed in on Jones’ outburst during First Take , holding nothing back in his critique.

“I hate, I detest, I despise someone that will prey on the weak ... If the Cowboys don't win another playoff game or another game, as long as Jerry Jones is the owner, I'll be the happiest man in the world,” said Sharpe.

Sharpe has long been vocal about his disdain for the Cowboys staff and their fan base , a team he faced just four times in his career, holding a 2-2 record with one 100-yard performance during his time with the Baltimore Ravens in 2000. Sharpe, a Hall of Famer since 2011, used the opportunity to take another shot at the Cowboys organization, particularly Jones.

Our own Mike Fisher had his take , not just with Sharpe-level pseudo-outrage but with the answers to the question, "What The Hell is Wrong With Jerry Jones?''

“I've been in that exact chair,” said Fish. "Is he sincerely angry? He is sincerely angry, yes. Does he also understand how to use his dissatisfaction, his unhappiness, his anger, his angst to his benefit? Yes. He took his genuine unhappiness and made up his mind in advance that before Shan [Shariff] and RJ [Choppy] had asked a question that he was going to do this."

Fish didn't defend Jones; indeed, he harshly took issue with the owner's inappropriate "job threat.'' But Fish is explaining the Jerry-minded "theatrics'' of it all - distastefully as they are.

Despite the Cowboys sitting at 3-3 in a “B.I.U./R” season, Jones’ outburst may be a sign of deeper frustrations within the organization. The team is heading into a much-needed bye week before facing the San Francisco 49ers—a team that has consistently had Dallas’ number in recent matchups. While Jones claims no immediate changes are coming, his remarks may have signaled that head coach Mike McCarthy and the team should be on high alert.
