The 'College GameDay' crew has once again become a must-watch in college football. In 2024, the broadcast added former Alabama head coach Nick Saban to the crew and decided to keep Pat McAfee on for another season.

The 'College GameDay' crew has been to plenty of big venues this season, with the most recent coming in Eugene, Oregon, as the Ducks defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in a thrilling Big Ten Conference showdown.

The recent episode of 'College GameDay' peaked at 3.5 million viewers during the segment.

The show has been a huge success once again, and the additions of McAfee and Saban have certainly helped.

McAfee recently hopped on the newest episode of 'The New Heights Podcast' with Jason and Travis Kelce, and he shared his thoughts about the opportunity to be a member of the 'College GameDay' crew.

“There’s only so many spots, so massive honor to even be asked to do this," McAfee said. "It’s like, ‘Alright, I’m going in; I’m gonna go in.’ And I’ve been baptized by college football in this entire thing — it is electric, bro."

McAfee also was involved in WWE RAW broadcasts but stepped away for a while , seemingly due to the college football and NFL seasons ramping up. McAfee is also an NFL analyst on other ESPN programs as well as the host of his famous "Pat McAfee Show."

However, he admits how special the atmosphere is during 'College GameDay.'

“It’s crazy," McAfee said. "It’s been an honor, dude. It’s been so much fun. So, I try to have a blast everywhere I go because of how committed, and that is part of college ball, all the pageantry and the tradition and loyalty.”

McAfee called it "electric" and "crazy" and even said he has "been baptized by college football" since joining the 'College GameDay' crew, so it seems he has enjoyed being part of the broadcast.

'College GameDay' also includes Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, and Rece Davis, so it is a star-studded group.

In Week 8, they are headed to Austin, Texas, for a top-five showdown between Georgia and Texas in what should be another wild atmosphere.
