What Is Drew Rosenhaus, Haason Reddick's End Goal With Jets?

When the CAA originally represented Haason Reddick, the New York Jets had received a trade request they were quick to deny.

Now, under new representation, the Jets seem to be more willing to allow Reddick to facilitate a trade in the coming days ahead. The issue? That isn't the perceived end goal for Drew Rosenhaus.

Over the decades he has been an NFL agent, Rosenhaus has built a reputation for finding deals where others have struggled. It's why his pairing with Reddick is so interesting.

Despite New York offering Rosenhaus to facilitate a trade, the long-time agent still has pushed the best place for Reddick to be is with the Jets.

"I rarely will get into conversations we have with the team," Rosenhaus said on FS1's The Facility. "On a more general basis, our goal is to try and work out a deal with the Jets. Our goal is to hopefully do a multi-year deal with the Jets."

So what's the end goal for Rosenhaus and Reddick?

The reality is that the Jets allowed Reddick's representation to seek a trade. The reason is that unless a team offers Reddick the kind of money he's been holding out for, the lone offer New York has given is still the best one available.

By allowing Reddick and Rosenhaus to see the market, New York is essentially giving themselves chances to stay ahead of the conversation.

For Rosenhaus, this is a good way to see how the rest of the league views Reddick, and where he can find the best deal imaginable.

Who wants a headache, get an offensive tackle, preferably left tackle they need to protect Roger's blind side and give him a second or 2 for people to get open
