‘Most Unselfish’ George Pickens Reveals Take on Steelers QB Controversy

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to win their second-straight game when they host the New York Jets on Sunday night.

After beginning the season 4-2 with Justin Fields as the starting quarterback, the Steelers have yet to reveal their starter for Week 7 with Russell Wilson fully-healthy for the first time since the preseason.

Receiver George Pickens, who is often known for his big personality both on and off the field, gave his thoughts on Pittsburgh's quarterback debate in a recent appearance on FS1's "The Facility."

“I know the media and the world want to paint me out as a selfish guy but really I'm the most unselfish guy in the world," said Pickens. "To me, honestly it really doesn’t matter, they’re both good players. I know they both have two different playing styles. They both can engineer a victory. Coming from Georgia, that’s one of the biggest things I care about: winning.”

In the first six games with Fields as the starter, Pickens had 26 catches for 363 yards and no touchdowns. If that production continues, he is projected to finish the season with 1,029 receiving yards.

While Fields has a lot of upside, and has led the Steelers to a winning record so far, Pittsburgh's offense struggled to put points on the board at certain points this season.

It's unclear if Wilson will make much of a difference as the starter, but he does have more experience than Fields, especially on teams looking to compete for playoff spots like the Steelers.
