The New York Liberty need one more win to take home the 2024 WNBA title. They likely wouldn't be in such an advantageous position without the shot-heard-around-the-world by Sabrina Ionescu, who buried a 28-foot 3-pointer in the closing seconds of Game 3 of the 2024 WNBA Finals Wednesday night to put the Minnesota Lynx away.

But even the former Oregon Ducks star knows that it took more than just her clutch trey to give the Liberty the 80-77 win over the Lynx.

Following the contest, Ionescu gave Breanna Stewart her flowers, reminding everyone that the two-time WNBA Most Valuable Player kept the Liberty afloat amid the challenge from Minnesota.

“We don’t win this game without Stewie,” Ionescu said about her teammate after the game, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN ).

“There’s nothing I can say. That shot’s nice, but what she was able to do for us tonight willed us back into the game.”

While Ionescu got the highlight of all highlights in Game 3, Stewart's contribution to the Liberty can't simply be overlooked.

Stewart manufactured a game-high 30 points with 11 rebounds and four blocks. She went 9-for-20 from the field and made all her 10 attempts from the free-throw line. Ionescu, meanwhile, had 13 points on 5-for-12 shooting and produced six assists plus five boards.
