It had a familiar ring to it, six seconds to go in the game, time for one more play. With the scored tied at 77-77, New York Liberty point guard Sabrina Ionescu dribbled near the logo.

She took two more dribbles and stepped left, burying a three-pointer from 28 feet to give the Liberty a 2-1 series lead over the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Championship. Game Four in the best-of-five series is Friday night in Minneapolis.

The Liberty trailed by 15 in the first quarter but clawed their way back with 11 points in the final 2:10. Forward Breanna Stewart carried the team for most of the night, pouring in 30 points and pulling down 11 rebounds, but Ionescu hit two clutch three-pointers in the final minute for the winning margin.

In a way it was Sabrina's Eminem moment, “Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity, To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment. Would you capture it, or just let it slip?”

On Sunday a reporter asked her about her secret weapon, the green and yellow Nike Sabrina 2 shoes she's worn throughout the series. She drew inspiration from Oregon's 32-31 win over Ohio State.

"Obviously I stayed up watching the game--not too late," the fifth-year pro said, looking over at coach Sandy Brondello, which drew a big laugh in the press room.

"I mean after they won the way that they did, today I was like 'Yeah, I'm gonna wear my Oregon shoes', because I just kind of wanted to embody that tough, gritty win that they pulled off."

After losing Game One in New York, the Liberty have pulled off two tough, gritty wins of their own.

The respect is mutual. On social media, Oregon football coach Dan Lanning sent out his congratulations. "Keep killing it," he wrote.
