There hasn’t been a lot of excitement surrounding the Los Angeles Clippers lately. After losing All-Stars Paul George and Russell Westbrook to different teams in the offseason, there has been a noticeable lack of hype around the team. However, one thing that’s giving the Clippers and their faithful something to look forward to is their brand-new home arena, the Intuit Dome.

The Intuit Dome, a state-of-the-art facility with all the bells and whistles, has been in the works for years and recently hosted its first Clippers game on Monday in a preseason match with the Dallas Mavericks. According to star player James Harden, it will be a game-changer.

    The Halo Board

One of the Intuit Dome’s most prominent features is its double-sided halo board which features detailed player profiles, real-time stats, and game highlights. It covers 38,375 square feet and looms large over the entire basketball court.

According to “The Beard,” he couldn’t help but glimpse at the halo board during the game, marveling at its size and high-definition display. However, Harden added that what fans and players saw during the preseason game against the Mavs was only a fraction of what the halo board’s capabilities.

“That was like a quarter of what’s going on. I think Steve (Ballmer) didn’t want to give y'all the whole rundown of what’s going on tonight, back-to-back for y'all, you know—content everywhere. So, as he said, you got to be here on the 23rd to witness it, but he did an unbelievable job with this,” James shared .

    Incredible atmosphere

The 2018 league MVP stressed that he enjoyed playing at the Intuit Dome and the atmosphere the fans created.

“It's cracking in here, you know what I mean? Like, preseason game, but just the screen, the fans, the lights on around the seats—it’s going to be a good season for us. It’s going to be fun to watch,” Harden stated. “I’m just excited about the whole atmosphere in this building. I think the city of LA is excited about it as well.”
