The NBA season is about to start in less than a week. Before the season begins, ESPN has announced a significant update regarding its broadcast team.

ESPN has announced a multi-year extension for Monica McNutt, according to a press release. McNutt contributes in various capacities, providing coverage for both NBA and WNBA live events and studio shows. For the WNBA, McNutt serves as a game analyst and is also a studio analyst for "WNBA Countdown."

On top of that, McNut makes regular appearances on several ESPN flagship shows, such as "Get Up," "First Take," "SportsCenter" and "Hoop Streams," while also being one of ESPN’s NBA sideline reporters.

McNutt joined ESPN in 2019 as a studio and game analyst for the ACC Network. In 2021, her role expanded to include various studio shows, such as "SportsCenter." In addition to her work at ESPN, McNutt is a studio analyst for the New York Knicks and hosts "MSG PM" on MSG Networks. Before entering broadcasting, McNutt excelled as a player for the Georgetown Hoyas, scoring over 1,000 points in her career and shooting nearly 40% from the field.

You can watch McNutt during the NBA season on ESPN. The season will tip-off on Tuesday with a doubleheader featuring the defending champion Boston Celtics against the New York Knicks, followed by a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
