Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke with the media on Thursday morning, and he provided a critical update on wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who is currently dealing with an ankle injury that sidelined him for the second half of last week's game against Oklahoma.

Bond reportedly logged a strong practice session on Wednesday, and today, Sarkisian told reporters that he expects to "upgrade Isaiah to probable for the game," indicating that he'll likely be able to return to the field.

Bond, a former transfer from Alabama, has had an excellent season with a team-leading 21 catches for 369 yards and three touchdowns. He's averaging an elite clip of 17.6 yards per reception, and he's been utilized all over the formation for the Longhorns.

This Saturday, Texas would love to have Bond on the field to face a Georgia pass defense that has looked vulnerable this season. The Bulldogs rank just 75th in passing EPA per play allowed, and they've given up 300+ passing performances to Alabama's Jalen Milroe and Mississippi State's Michael Van Buren Jr. in recent weeks.

Quinn Ewers would love to bounce back from a shaky first game against Oklahoma, and it sounds like he'll benefit from his top wide receiver on the field for this top-5 matchup.
