Caitlin Clark solidified her spot as one of the greatest players in college basketball history through her four seasons at Iowa, breaking the all-time NCAA scoring records for both women's and men's hoops.

With this historic distinction, there are many who consider Clark the greatest college basketball player of all time. But, there are others who site her lack of NCAA championships as a reason she's not the GOAT.

During the most recent episode of her podcast, "A Touch More," WNBA legend Sue Bird gave the college basketball GOAT distinction to former UConn superstar Breanna Stewart.

Stewart led the Huskies to four consecutive NCAA Tournament titles during her time in Storrs.

"Four national championships is the standard... That is the bar," Bird said. "... If you get to the Final Four, championship game twice, that's an amazing feat. It's not to take away from what Caitlin [Clark] did, but it's not four national championships in a row."

Basketball fans took to the comment section to debate the cases for Clark and Stewart.

"If Breanna Stewart played for Iowa, she would also have zero championships in college," one wrote.

"CC wasn’t playing against stewie and uconn, she was 'the best' player in college playing against other regular teams. she didn’t get the job done," another said.

"Caitlin carried a team twice something no one person has ever done," another added.

"UConn stacked with 4 and 5 star recruits should win the championship every year. Caitlin played with blue collar players. Breanna didn’t win these championships by herself. This is an insane convo," another wrote.

Clark led the Hawkeyes to NCAA National Championship appearances in each of her final two college basketball seasons. She was unable to claim victory in either contest, falling to the LSU Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks.
