Each week, ESPN's "College GameDay" welcomes a celebrity guest to make picks for the week's most exciting college football matchups.

The celebrity guest typically has some sort of connection to the campus where "College GameDay" is held — and that's certainly the case for Saturday's edition of the show in Austin, Texas.

Former University of Texas student and current world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler will take the podium on Saturday morning to make his picks.

"College GameDay" announced Scheffler's appearance with an official post on X.

"2x Masters champion,  Olympic gold medalist, 2024 @PGATOUR FedExCup champion, College GameDay guest picker. See you Saturday, Scottie Scheffler," ESPN's flagship college football program wrote.

Longtime “College GameDay” analyst Kirk Herbstreit hinted at the news during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” Thursday.

Scheffler put together a historic season in 2024, recording eight PGA Tour wins. His year was highlighted by a second career green jacket at the Masters, an Olympic gold medal in Paris and his first career FedEx Cup title.

Scheffler's alma mater is currently ranked No. 1 in college football. This weekend's matchup against No. 5 Georgia will be the Texas football program's first major test since joining the SEC at the beginning of the 2024 season.

Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns are favored by 4.5 points over Carson Beck and the visiting Bulldogs this weekend.

Saturday’s game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET from Austin’s Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium.
