The Buffalo Bills made waves around the NFL world on Tuesday, acquiring veteran wide receiver Amari Cooper in a blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns.

This big-time move gives Josh Allen a clear No. 1 option at the wide receiver position and bolsters the team's pass-catching unit as a whole.

The Bills responded to the addition of Cooper with a wide receiver transaction on Thursday, releasing Ahmarean Brown from the practice squad.

The team also signed kicker Lucas Havrisik in response to Tyler Bass' disappointing performance in a win over the New York Jets in Week 6.

"Signed K Lucas Havrisik to the practice squad & released WR Ahmarean Brown," Bills PR wrote in a post on X.

Brown went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft following his collegiate career with Georgia Tech and South Carolina. In his final college football season with the Gamecocks, Brown reeled in 26 catches for 265 yards and one touchdown. His best season came as a freshman for Georgia Tech, catching 21 balls for 396 yards and seven touchdowns.

Brown was initially signed as an undrafted free agent for the Browns, spending time with Cleveland in the preseason. He later signed on as a member of the Bills practice squad.

It's currently uncertain if Cooper will suit up for his Bills debut in Week 7. Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans will kickoff at 1 p.m. EST.
