Rick Neuheisel Predicts Major Upset for Top-15 Program in College Football on Saturday

Former Pac-12 head coach and current CBS Sports analyst Rick Neuheisel has been on a roll with his upset predictions this season, including his successful call on the Oregon Ducks ' victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. This week, he’s making an even bolder prediction that could shake up the top-25 rankings and the College Football Playoff picture.

During the CBS Sports panel's discussion on potential upsets for the weekend, Neuheisel confidently announced that the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will stun the No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

"I’m taking Georgia Tech over Notre Dame. They're playing right in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Georgia Tech is on a bit of a roll," Neuheisel said.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook , Notre Dame is currently a 9.5-point favorite, despite being on the road. However, the line has shifted in favor of the Yellow Jackets as the week has progressed.

For the Fighting Irish, this is a must-win game. They experienced one of the worst losses among the current top-12 teams, falling at home to Northern Illinois .

With little margin for error, every game counts. While Georgia Tech is a solid ACC team this year and poses upset potential against anyone, they are not currently ranked.

If Notre Dame loses to two unranked opponents, it could lead to a significant drop in the top-25 standings. Without the chance to compete for a conference title, a loss here could effectively eliminate them from playoff contention.
